Simonis 760™ is the fastest Simonis cloth for pool tables and can also be found on snooker tables when the players want to play ‘golf’ and where a color other than English green or yellow-green is desired.
It is a 70% wool / 30% nylon blend that is sometimes used for Competitive Pool Tournament Play. This cloth maintains its speed and accuracy over time and does not change the ball roll as it ages. The higher speed is great for Bank Pool, Straight pool, and one pocket as well as traditional 8- and 9-ball.
It is slightly faster than Simonis 860™, although the higher wool content of 860 will combat ball burns better over time. It is suggested you pair your Simonis cloth with a set of Aramith Belgian phenolic pool balls, which in conjunction with keeping them clean, will cut back on friction burns to the cloth surface. Aramith balls are pure phenolic and have the hardest composition and heat resistance compared to other balls with lower percentage phenolic or polyester (non-phenolic balls), which will degrade quickly over time.
Residue on balls can create friction that can burn or mark the surface of the cloth. While Aramith phenolic balls can burn the cloth surface, polyester balls leave some polyester behind. Keep your Aramith balls clean – to protect the cloth, and achieve the best performance and appearance over time.
The combed worsted wool and high thread count assure long-lasting wear.
Simonis 860™ was developed especially for 9-ball and has proven to be well suited for home use and the most popular color selection. Also excellent for ball action and traditional 8-ball. It is a 90% wool, 10% nylon blend.
While the speed is slightly slower than 760, 860 cloth has proven to combat ball burns better than 760 over time due to its high wool content. The combed worsted wool and high thread count assure long-lasting wear.

Simonis 860HR™ (High Resistant) has a speed between 760 and 860 blends (2nd fastest Simonis pool cloth-slightly ahead of Simonis 860), is a 70% wool and 30% nylon content (same as the 760 blend) but heavier than the 760 for increased durability.

860HR has the same thread count as 860, with the shaving process changed slightly to leave a surface that is more or less a 100 % wool surface on the cloth, which is why the cloth doesn’t show marks/ball burns as much as 760 might.
Because of the weight, blend, and finishing of this cloth, the outcome gives the cloth commercial-grade durability and professional quality performance and accuracy while resisting the abuse of a high-use environment.
Recommended for commercial and home use.

Simonis cloth naturally repels liquids because we use the finest worsted wool, an optimal thread count, and a proprietary manufacturing process. This keeps liquids from penetrating the cloth and allows spills to be cleaned up quickly without staining or damaging the playfield.
Some clothes have entered the market with a "new" feature... stain resistance. These clothes require chemical processes to achieve the ability to resist liquid spills. Unfortunately, the chemical treatment reduces the accuracy and predictability of the cloth, negatively impacting your game.
A new feature? Resisting liquid spills has always been a part of Simonis cloth. We do not chemically treat Simonis 860 and 760 cloth because chemical treatments could reduce the accuracy and quality of these clothes.
Marks left on the surface of the cloth that are usually white in color are referred to as ball burns. Simonis' high wool content helps to reduce the appearance of these marks, and we also recommend using phenolic balls to further reduce the appearance of ball burns.
Ball burns from polyester balls are actually marks left on the cloth from degradation of the surface of the ball itself. Phenolic balls are much harder and are more resistant to heat than polyester balls. As always, the cloth and the balls should be clean.
Any residue that has built up on the ball will leave marks on the cloth. Simple maintenance will prolong the life of your cloth, the aesthetic appearance of your table and your enjoyment of your game.
D & R Industries, Inc. began in 1963 due to Dennis Ruber's and Richard Utanoff's vision (hence the name D & R). With nothing more than a telephone, working out of Richard's mother's bedroom in a small apartment in Chicago, Dennis and Richard began an amusement industry parts distribution business.
Through the years, D & R Industries, Inc. underwent many changes and expanded into various recreation-oriented businesses but found its niche within the billiard industry. After distributing billiard fabrics (along with other billiard supplies) for more than 25 years, Dennis Ruber saw a need for affordable, high-quality ones.
The decision was to switch from a billiard parts distribution business to a manufacturer of high-quality billiard fabrics. A team of engineers, textile experts, and old-time billiard people worked together to develop what is now known as the "Championship Line" of billiard fabrics. Manufacturing billiard fabrics since 1990, Championship now sells more billiard fabric than all of its major competitors combined.
The tremendous success of Championship Billiard Fabrics confirmed the belief that our industry wants and needs high-quality products at affordable prices. Our experts developed a line of high-quality, affordable billiard cushions with that basic premise in mind.
Engineers and experts at Championship have been working hard over the last five years to develop the finest billiard cushion rubber in the industry. All their hard work has paid off! Championship, as of 2002, is now a supplier of the most accurate billiard cushion rubber ever made for the billiard industry. Our testing has clearly shown that the accuracy of this product is unmatched. Though in its infancy, Championship's cushion rubber can already be found on the tables of many of today's major billiard table manufacturers.
